You don’t ever outrun your shadow, you don’t feel terrified by it or depressed by the fact that you have a shadow. No, you accept it as it’s part of you, it’s natural and depending on where you are standing at the time of day and where the sunlight is falling you get to see your shadow.
Your life experience is that same ‘sun’ light that triggers the (inner) shadow; emotions, beliefs and how you ultimately see yourself.
The only difference here is that no one told us this part of yourself is okay, it’s a part of you, it’s okay to have it, you work with it – you see it, maybe more feel it, but you don’t have to escape it or get terrified by it, as it’s just a part of YOU.
So sometimes people refer to it as the unhealed part of you, the dark side of who you are and I find that so sad because in value and worth this part of you is AS VALUABLE as the light part of you.
It’s just that we live in a society that finds the light part of YOU more acceptable, but if you had no shadow how would you ever know the brightness of your BEING? It is only through your shadow that you get to be inspired to become more, be more, try more, go beyond.
So today, I want to take a moment and thank myself for all my shadows, and give equal LOVE to my inner shadow as to my inner light as my shadow is there to compliment me, make me the GREATEST version of myself and I LOVE that about my shadow; just another GREAT aspect of myself.
Here’s the invitation, what if you stop blaming and pushing away your SHADOW and start appreciating the TEACHER it truly is? I immediately start feeling lighter to not feel I have to push against or get rid of a part of myself.
Maybe this could be the key to start accepting ALL of me. I truly believe that ALL of us are already WHOLE we just need to get old world and mind programming out of our BEINGs.
I’m starting in this moment to start applying this knowing and renewed realization. What about you?
